New Pews
Our new
pews are handcrafted, the old fashioned way, from solid oak, in the
hills of Oklahoma. While other manufacturers substitute flakeboard
or particleboard - we use only solid wood in our furniture.
Areas that are padded will have 3/4" or thicker plywood underneath.
Ends, supports, caps are all solid oak. Even our bookracks are
solid oak! Since we also refurbish pews made by others, we have
learned the best manufacturing techniques available. As a small
family business, we don't have the overhead that large manufacturer's
do, so we can pass along the savings with lower prices.
At Born Again Pews, we use high quality,
beautifully grained, kiln dried oak lumber.
You will
not find any particle board in our pews
We use a process called solid panel
construction. In this process the grains are offset when the two
panels are glued together. This helps to prevent splitting that often
occurs with butcher-blocking. Our solid wood ends and supports are
guaranteed for the life of the pew.
